Today, is a rubbish day,

Of which we can all agree.

I have to stay inside,

And there is nothing left to see.

I haven’t been bad or naughty.

The sun is out to play.

I’m fit and healthy,

So why am I in this dismay?

There is a nasty virus,

He comes around us all.

To every country across the world,

Trying to look so tall.

He acts like a bully,

And makes everyone scared of him.

But what he doesn’t realise,

Is it not just me who doesn’t want to be locked in.

For there are clever people,

Who are working more and more.

They hope to find a vaccine soon,

And beat this bully to the core.

So, for now I stay inside,

And watch the sun go by.

For I know it won’t be long,

When I can tell this virus good-bye.
